Alberta Express Entry Stream
The Alberta Express Entry Stream is designed to help Alberta attract skilled professionals who possess the qualifications, work experience, and skills needed to support the province's economic growth. To be considered, candidates must first qualify under one of Canada's federal Express Entry programs and maintain an active Express Entry profile. Alberta reviews eligible profiles and invites candidates who meet its labour market priorities, occupational demands, and economic needs.
Candidates who receive an Alberta provincial nomination through this stream are awarded an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, significantly increasing their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian Permanent Residence through the federal Express Entry system.
